The 2022 BYD Song MAX DM-i is a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle that was launched in March 2022 by BYD. The car is available in five versions, with prices ranging from 145,800 yuan to 172,800 yuan (23,007-27,267 USD). The car is equipped with a DM-i plug-in hybrid powertrain, which consists of a 1.5L Xiaoyun engine for plug-in hybrid vehicles, an electric hybrid system (EHS), and a specially designed blade battery. The Xiaoyun engine works in Atkinson cycle mode with a maximum power of 81 kW (109 hp) and a peak torque of 135 N·m. The permanent magnet synchronous motor has a maximum power of 145 kW (197 hp) and a peak torque of 325 N·m. The car has two pure electric endurance versions of 51 km and 105 km, respectively, and a cruising range of up to,090 km when charged with electricity and gasoline. The car’s acceleration from 0-100 km/h needs only 7.9 seconds, while it is equipped with EHS, the DiLink 4.0 system, and DiPilot ADAS.
